Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office (FAO) is dedicated to assisting students with meeting their education-related financial needs. Financial assistance is available to Algoma students from a variety of sources and is based on demonstrated unmet need.

Work on Campus

Working part-time or full-time is a great way to curb the cost of going to university.  At Algoma, we have a variety of full-time, part-time, internships, and co-operative education that will help alleviate the cost of university and help you gain valuable work experience in your area of study.  Such positions give you the experience necessary to obtain a meaningful job after your degree! You can earn anywhere between $12-20 an hour and work on campus or in other organizations, including the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), Ontario Power Generation, among others.

Since 2007, Paul has worked at Algoma University in the Recruitment Office, Student Services Office and Financial Aid Office. Paul is currently the Recruitment Coordinator and provides guidance to future students while coordinating recruitment efforts and events.
